Background
Empilo Health Care was born out of Namhla Mfecane’s passion for healthcare and her desire to address the critical lack of accessible health services for lower to middle-income groups in South Africa..
Raised in Idutywa, Eastern Cape, and holding a Baccalaureus Curationis (Bcur) from Walter Sisulu University, Namhla began her nursing career in 2013 at Livingstone Hospital.
After furthering her studies in Occupational Health Nursing, Namhla worked for prominent companies like VWSA, Isuzu, and Aspen from 2018 to 2024.
Driven by her entrepreneurial spirit, Namhla launched Empilo Health Care to provide sustainable, affordable healthcare services that cater to individuals who struggle to access private clinics and hospitals. She further expanded her services by introducing Empilo HC IV Lounge in 2022, offering IV drip therapy across the Eastern Cape.
Namhla has been an advocate for health screenings and wellness, regularly featured on platforms such as Trufm, Mpumakapa TV, and Konvenient magazine.
